New Weather Clock design shortlisted for a World Illustration Award

World Illustration Awards Exhibition

By Rob & Sarah

Later this Autumn and into 2017 we will be launching three new Weather Clocks designed by illustrator Josh Patterson.

We commissioned Josh, after seeing his work at New Designers exhibition, at the Business Design Centre in London last June. We were really taken by Josh’s illustrations - his fresh ideas and creative talent and knew that we wanted to collaborate on our new range of Weather Clocks.

Fast forward a year and Josh has created three very different designs for Bramwell Brown. The first clock will launch in September as part of the London Design Festival (17th – 25th September). However the second of Josh’s designs ‘Into the Wild’ is currently on display at Somerset House in London, as part of the World Illustration Awards Exhibition 2016 (from 1 - 29 August 2016.)

The World Illustration Awards Exhibition presents highlights from the year’s shortlist of contemporary illustration, entered by 2400 emerging and established artists from around the globe to the annual competition.

The Shortlist includes illustration from across the world, recognising the exceptional work produced by illustrators internationally and promoting illustration as an essential contributor to global visual culture.

The free-to-visit exhibition features a unique range of work from the UK to USA, and South Korea to France, covering a wide breadth of practice, including books, design and editorial, to reflect the diverse disciplines within the industry.

We went to visit the exhibition last week and it really is a must-see if you are in the vicinity of Somerset House. However if you are not London based, the exhibition, including the clock featuring Josh's design, will tour around the country until July 2017 – please see the dates and venues below(all dates to be confirmed):
